Orchard Grass is bunny delight! Aromatic, flat bladed and a wonderful colour and taste!

Oxbow Orchard Grass is a green, fruity-smelling grass hay which many small animals just love. It looks similar to timothy grass, but is generally lacking in a coarse stem (see below), creating a softer product. Orchard Grass is a perennial cool season grass, and leaves vary in color from green to bluish-green depending on the maturity of the plant at the time of harvest. A later harvest can also bring in some brownish colour and stem/seed head too.

Orchard Grass is high in fibre, low in protein, and low in calcium. It can be freely fed to rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals of any age.

Cut information: The cut can vary between a very green, soft leafy cut, to a very long stranded coarser greeny/yellow cut with some seed heads depending on time of harvest etc. If you are unsure if your little ones may like either cut, please ask for a sample before you order.
