The Hay Experts Plantain (Ribwort Plantain, sp Plantago lanceolata) is a natural and healthy forage food for most small animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, degu, hamsters, and others.

The Hay Experts Plantain is rich in many vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients, as well as being high in fibre. Plantain is reputed to have many benefits, including antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. It is also reputed to help support wound healing.

Plantain is high in fibre, so excellent at supporting digestive and dental health.

As Plantain is harvested throughout the year, some seasonal variation may occur, with some harvests having some stem and seed heads also present. If your little ones have a preference, do get in touch as we'll advise on the current cut; we always want to ensure your little ones get what they love!

Plantain can be fed as a single forage, within a mix of other leaves and flowers, or added to hay for environmental enrichment and forging fun. It can also be added to toys (such as willow balls or tunnels) to increase interaction, challenge, and activity.
